The Greater Eugene Chorus is delighted to welcome our new director, Katie Kileen. Katie joined Sweet Adelines in 1972 and has been attending regional- and international-level education classes since that time.  She brings a wealth of musical experience with her and has served as a Lead section leader, Baritone section leader, assistant director, choreographer, vocal coach, showmanship coach, certified front line director, and a director-in-training under director mentor Dede Nibler.  Katie became a Sweet Adeline Certified Director in 2000.  As a member of Region 11, Katie also served as Young Women in Harmony chair, and Regional Committee member and chair, and also served on the Regional Music Staff. In 2008, Katie moved with her husband, Don, to Florence, Oregon. She joined Oregon Spirit in 2009 and has served as Oregon Spirit Lead section leader and as an assistant director.  Katie is also a showmanship and vocal coach for the Cascade Chorus. Katie's love of barbershop music is contagious.  We are excited to have Katie's experience, enthusiasm, and energy in front of us each week, and look forward to learning a lot from her as she helps us grow both musically and in chorus membership.
