GREATER EUGENE CHORUS BRINGS HOME AWARDS FROM REGIONAL CONTEST Sixteen Choruses from the Northwest Competed on May 17th  in Sweet Adeline Regional Competition in Vancouver, WA Eugene, Ore. June 9, 2008 - The Sweet Adelines International's Regional Convention and Competition convened in Vancouver, Washington on May 17, 2008. Sixteen choruses and seventeen quartets participated in this competition, consisting of a cappella barbershop, contemporary, and blues songs.  The twenty-six member Greater Eugene Chorus won the Most Improved Chorus Award at the competition and were proud to be able to participate in the Show of Champions.  The Chorus also received certificates of recognition for membership growth and membership retention. The Greater Eugene Chorus is a group of women ranging in age from twenty-two to eighty-two who come from Eugene, Springfield, Cottage Grove, Albany, Corvallis and other surrounding towns to sing a capella songs.   They meet on Monday evenings at 7 pm at the Wesley United Methodist Church in Eugene. Greater Eugene Chorus is a chapter of the Sweet Adelines International.  Women in the community who are interested in singing and making new friends are invited to visit the Greater Eugene Chorus on any Monday evening.  Learn more by contacting the Greater Eugene Chorus at greatereugenechorus@comcast.net or (541) 341-3756.
